What is Art?
One of the first things I saw at USM was a “What is Art” poster. I thought it was so cool and dreamed of making my own and it’s weird to think I’m already past it. For my poster, I decided to go with “Art is a Window.” Throughout my life, I have been a shy person, not always making friends quickly. One way I was able to get through to people and break the ice was through my art, drawing silly pictures or showing off my artistic ability. It not only was a window through getting to know people, but also people getting to know me, and that’s what I wanted to exhibit in my poster. The silhouette of myself and the misty glow effect represents me being unknown by others, not truly knowing me. The graphics coming out of the window represents my creativity, ideas, that others get to learn about through the window of art.
